Mindfulness Groups
We promote wellness at schools and organizations to offer a space for students to experience healing and improvement in their emotional health. When students feel safe, they experience well-being which leads to confidence and improved academic success.
– We have bilingual therapists in Spanish and English that teach social emotional learning, lead mindfulness practices in the classroom, and facilitate healing circles.
– We promote strength-based approaches to create a safe space for learning and reflection.
– We are available to go into the classroom and engage students on the benefits of social and emotional learning and conflict resolution.
– We provide information on emotions and self-awareness. This helps children with naming emotions, increasing emotional awareness and expanding vocabulary when expressing feelings.
– We engage students in practicing self-regulating coping skills to learn how to self-soothe to manage and regulate their emotions. This helps with managing their impulses, especially during a crisis or conflict.
– We incorporate Mindfulness and apply concepts of kindness and compassion practices to increase social awareness and strengthen relationship skills when relating to others and their peers. These mindful practices at schools help with increasing positive social interaction and may help to prevent bullying.
